Hartmut Abeln has been serving as the CEO of TÜV NORD Mobilität GmbH & Co. KG since 2017 and is a member of the TÜV NORD Group Executive Committee. Prior to this role, he was the Chief Operating Officer of the same organization from 2013 to 2016. Abeln is actively involved in various industry associations, including his position as Head of the Transport Commission at the TÜV-Association/DEKRA in Berlin since 2018, and as a board member of the Association for Quality Management Vehicle Inspection since 2013. Additionally, he contributes to the Chamber of Commerce in Hannover and has held the role of Chairman of the Board at TÜV LITA in Vilnius since 2020. He also serves on the advisory board of TÜV NORD Systems GmbH & Co. KG since 2017.
